Recap Adobe Tech Comm Customer Day – The Dutch Edition
Adobe Technical Communication Customer Day - the Aftermovie
June 15th Sabern kicked off the first edition of the Adobe Technical Communication Customer Day at their head office in the Hague, the Netherlands. At this event, technical writers seized the opportunity to learn from Adobe experts about key trends in technical communication and new connections were made.
Technical Writer or Technical Communicator?
Over the years, there have been a lot of developments in the technical field of communication. The way we document or communicate is evolving as well. Adobe is constantly improving the tools for the technical writer through FrameMaker, helping them author and publish technical content experiences for any device. Jang Graat, one of the speakers at the event and also known as ‘the FrameTamer’, rose an interesting question in one of his presentations: are you a technical writer, or a technical communicator?
From unstructured to structured content
Many attendees primarily work with Adobe FrameMaker to deliver rich, engaging technical content experiences. IATA, a customer of Sabern who was also present at the event, claims they would never have been where they are today in terms of communication without the latest technology of Sabern and Adobe FrameMaker. Through Sabern’s portal with integrated FrameMaker software, IATA is able to communicate the airline rules of regulation with over 265 member airlines and 400 strategic partners.
