FrameMaker is also a XML editor, and can be used to create and edit XML. A schema or a DTD (document type definition), contain the structure of the documents. FrameMaker is a WYSIWYG XML editor with many validation possibilities.

Documents can be built dynamically, with content management and databasse publishing software. FrameMaker supports output in many forms, such as high resolution PDF, XML and HTML.
